Yesterday we kicked off our International and Culture Week at ISGR, themed “I have a Dream.” We also started our clay sculpting workshop week with Rachel Barron, as part of the Creative School project, themed “Building Community”. Combining the two, we have worked on the following question in the past few weeks, with both sections, “What is your wish for a better world?”. Inspired by Wishing Trees, students are creating “paper tags” out of clay with their wish sculpted on there. They can choose the use symbols, letters, or 3D sculpting. It’s been a joy to see the students’ creativity, genuine wishes and engaged work with the clay!
Ask your child about their wish and how it contributes to a better world! And of course… What is your wish for a better world? You can share it in the comment section of this post!
