Sport Lov! Sports Break!
A full week to do nothing, or all the things you wanted to do but didn’t have time for. A whole week to take it easy, set your own rhythm and follow your interests and your child(ren)’s inquiries.
Perhaps you’d like to stay home, read your books and have cozy family times. But perhaps you’d like to get out of the house (and into the rain?!), and do something fun and surprising. Gothenburg has so much to offer!
For a complete overview check the HejBarn website (be prepared to be overwhelmed with all the options!). Also, the city library (on top of Avenyn) has something going on almost every day! Check their calendar: you can search for the theme, age group and date you are interested in. They run a story time in English, every month. Check here for dates.
At the public library closest to ISGR, Guldheden Bibliotek, there are several great events happening. Open and free to all. Make sure to ring 031-365 72 45 to see if there are still places left. Two examples:
Workshop Kompisfigurer: Wednesday, February 13th, 11.00 – 12.30, 6 – 10 years old.
Theatre show Mamma Mu & Kråken: Friday, February 15th, 11.00 – 11.35, from 4 years old.
At the Natural History Museum, there will be a guided tour showing and talking about animals in literature. Your guide will be writer and illustrator Ida Öhnell. It is free (first come, first serve), just check in at the counter when you arrive at the museum. It takes place on Friday, February 17th from 14.00 – 14.30. Hope to see you there!
We hope you have a restful, fun and book-full Sport Lov!
Happy Reading,
Fleur
I like so much your suggestions. Thank you.
