New dates and times for our ISGR Sustainable Development Goals Book Club: May 20th, 14.30 – 15.00-ish in our school library. Students in 3rd, 4th and 5th grade are now invited. We are looking for 10 – 15 committed students.
Every month, the UN publishes a reading list connected to one goal. This month, #1 No Poverty. You can read about it here.
The ISGR SDG Book Club will run for 17 months, meeting once a month, reading books connected to all 17 goals. Our Book Club meetings (this academic year) will take place on Monday, May 20th and June 10th, 14.30 – 15.00-ish. We will continue next school year, with our first meeting on September, 9th. I will lead the literature-based and action-oriented conversation about the books we have read (the books on the UN recommended reading list), and discuss thoughts, feelings and connections to our own lives that will come up.
Students don’t have to read ALL books on the reading list, they can pick one or two.The books are available in the library for them to read.
