It is May! We can’t believe that June is around the corner, which means the end of our current school year. Time flies when you have fun… and read!
To boost your Summer Reading (and not go down the “Summer Slide”, see infographic below), be sure to check out books at your local library! Gothenburg City has an amazing network of libraries with (audio) books in many languages. You can request books from other libraries, and they will deliver it to your local library. If you have any questions about getting your public library account set up, please let me know!
Another way of kick-starting your Summer Reading is to order books through our ISGR Scholastic Summer Reading Book Club!
Go to http://eu-schools.scholastic.co.uk/int-sch-of-gothenburg-region to browse the latest books and order online. For every €1 you spend on this Summer Reading Book Club, our school will earn 20¢ in Scholastic Rewards.
Please place your order online by May 26th, 2019.
Tomorrow, the students will receive paper leaflets with a selection of the books that can ordered, but the complete collection is online. So make sure you check out the Scholastic website. Use the link above, to make sure you are ordering via our ISGR Book Club!
The books you ordered (and paid online), will then be given to your child on the last day of school (if your child is not present on the last day of school, let me know and we can make sure you will get the books before that).
