Students have asked questions about the Scholastic Book “Club” (Book Sale!), so here are some answers:
– In the leaflet that the students have received is only a small selection of the vast amount of books you can choose from online. Go to http://eu-schools.scholastic.co.uk/int-sch-of-gothenburg-region to browse the latest books and order online. For every €1 you spend on this month’s Book Club, our school will earn 20¢ in Scholastic Rewards.
– Students/Parents do not need to fill in forms and give me money. All orders are placed online.
– Students will receive the books in the last week of school. They will be delivered to the class by me or a parent volunteer.
In the previous years, Baker Book Sales (which is bought by Scholastic, hence the change) would provide us with plastic bags to put the books in for each student. Scholastic doesn’t support the use of plastic bags, so they recommended you buy a canvas book with your book order, for 1 EUR (11 SEK).
The first orders are rolling in, so I hope more families will purchase books through our Scholastic Book Club/Sale! This is a great way to support our school library and boost your Summer Reading!
